Spectacular aurora Sept 8/9 2010

The Earth was buffeted by a bout of space weather on the night of September 8th-9th. These photos were taken by a Norwegian musician and amateur astronomer, Øystein Lunde Ingvaldse, from Bø in Vesterålen inside the Arctic Circle.
